Hello! I'm Tessa & I love capturing people stories.
I've been photographing people for over a decade now and what I love about my job is that I'm able to really help draw out peoples personalities and capture people in their true-self. I got my first camera when I was in high school starting on black & white film. I then fell in love with the digital world and haven't been able to put my camera down since. Just ask my husband, we can't go on any vacation without me pulling out my camera a bajillion times to capture the beautiful architecture or beautiful landscapes.
My love for photographing babies came before starting a family of our own. In 2010, I got to marry my best friend and since then we have done a lot of adventuring together. We have a goldendoodle pup named Everest and a daughter that we welcomed November 2014 named Journey. My husband Derek and I love to create. He's a writer and musician and we often find ourselves breaking out in song on the regular. Now that's just a little taste about me and my story, I'd love to hear yours and partner with you in helping document your grandest moments to remember forever.

I love going on dates but when it's a sushi date.... I get so giddy. I love me some deliciously crafted sushi rolls. And I recently found the love for the raw stuff, so good!
I don't know about you but I get a lot of my inspiration from God's creation. I'm in awe of it's vastness and how truly beautiful our world is. I just can't get outside enough! And now living in Portland, you can't let the rain stop you from getting outside!
I just love going to coffee shops. There's something about gathering in a place to share a warm beverage that really just get's my creative juices flowing. And that latte art, just gives me all the warm and fuzzies.
We've moved a lot in the last few years and have really grown to appreciate good community. We have lived with it and without it in seasons and I just can't tell you enough how important being in community is.
This is the very foundation of why I do what I do. Being a Jesus follower has had some serious valleys and mountain tops. It's not been an easy life but it's been so fulfilling and full of joy and hope even when faced with major adversity.
